Do not force the machine
The log saw will work better and more safely at the load for which it is designed. Use the log saw
only for its intended purpose.
Do not overreach
The surface must not be slippery.
Always maintain a firm footing and good balance.
Never stand on the log saw. Serious personal injury can occur if the log saw tips over or if you
come into contact with the blade or other moving parts. Do not store anything above or close to the
log saw, where someone may be tempted to stand on the log saw in order to reach.
Avoid personal injury
Do not attempt to add or remove logs until the log cradle has completely stopped in its end
position.
WARNING
Keep your hands away from all moving parts.
Mind your hands
Keep your hands at a safe distance from the saw blade and from cracks that open up in the wood.
Such cracks may close suddenly and crush or amputate your hands.
Do not use your hands to release a log that has become stuck.
NOTE:
Never leave the saw unattended when it is running!
Do not leave the log saw until it has come to a complete standstill.
Pull out the power cord
Unplug the power cord when the log saw is not to be used. Always disconnect the power cord from
the mains power before replacing parts, cleaning the log saw or carrying out adjustments or
maintenance.
Maintain the log saw correctly
Keep the log saw clean for better and safer work.
Make the work area childproof
Keep the workshop locked. Turn off the main switch. Store the machine out of the reach of children
and unauthorised persons.
General risks
Using the log saw can entail the following risks.
Risks due to contact with moving parts.
Risks as a consequence of the blade breaking or shattering.
These risks are greatest in the following cases:
When spending time in the work area.
In the vicinity of moving parts.
Even if the tool is used in accordance with the instructions it is impossible to rule out all risk factors. The
following risks remain:

Risk of hearing damage.

Risk of accidents caused by the uncovered part of the saw blade.

Risk of personal injury when replacing the saw blade

Crushing risk when the guard is opened.
Check the operation of the brake before use. Start the log saw and allow it to reach idling speed,
then turn it off and check how long it takes to come to a standstill.
Only saw blades in accordance with EN 847-1:1997 may be used in the log saw.
If the log saw is used indoors, it must be connected to an external wood chip and sawdust
extractor.
The log saw must be connected to the mains supply with a residual current device.
