8.
Remove the blade centre screw (A), the outer thrust washer (B) and the saw blade (C). The
inner thrust washer (D) should remain in place.
9.
Clean the saw blade’s contact faces on the tool carefully before mounting the new saw blade.
Assembling the saw blade
1.
Note the saw blade’s direction of rotation - the saw blade (C) must be assembled so that its
arrow points in the direction of rotation.
2.
Fit the outer thrust washer (B). Make sure that the straight sections on the edge of the
washer hole align correctly with the flats on the spindle.
3.
Insert the blade centre screw (A).
4.
Hold in the spindle lock button, ensure that the lock is engaged, and then tighten the blade
centre screw (left hand thread) with the wrench.
5.
Check that the blade guard moves properly and runs free of the saw blade and other parts
when the saw head is lowered.
6.
Check that the spindle lock is released completely - the blade should rotate freely.
NOTE:
When the saw head is raised to its starting position, the moveable blade guard should
automatically cover the blade.
Setting up the tool
NOTE:
• Do not carry the tool by the handle, as this is not dimensioned for the weight of the tool. Carry
the tool by grasping both sides under the saw table (handles) instead. Lock saw head and saw
head guides before lifting or carrying the tool.
• Never move the tool alone - ask someone for help.
• The tool must not be connected to the mains or other power supply during installation or when
adjustments are being made.
