4.1 Cleaning and maintenance
• The most important and sensitive part of the thermometer is the
sensor
. Accurate temperature measurements can only be
guaranteed if the probe is clean and intact.
• The sensor
is waterproof and can therefore be cleaned by
directly immersing it in alcohol or using a ball of cotton wool
soaked in alcohol.
• Normal commercial alcohol-based disinfectant is suitable for dis-
infecting the sensor
. Please follow the respective manufac-
turer’s instructions.
• The housing and the display
of the thermometer are not
waterproof. Do not immerse them in liquids.
• Clean them with a dry, clean cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners.
• It is advisable to keep the thermometer in the original packing that
it was in when it was purchased, and keep it in a clean, dry place. Do
not expose the thermometer to direct sunlight.
• The storage temperature should be between -20.0°C to +50.0°C.
• The device is calibrated in the factory. Recalibration is not required
for normal use.
