GB 3 Measuring Procedure
3. All symbols appear in the display at first. If the forehead tempera-
ture symbol

flashes, press the On/Scan button

again to switch
to the mode for taking a measurement in the ear. The change is
confirmed by a beep. The last temperature measured will appear
(see Fig.)
4. As soon as the symbol for measuring the temperature in the ear

appears in the display

, the device is ready for use (see Fig.) Press
the On/Scan button

again and hold it.
5. The symbol for continuous temperature measurement

appears
(see Fig.). Insert the sensor

in your ear. Keep the device
still whilst measuring. After just a few seconds a short beep will
be heard and the display

will show the measured body
temperature.
6. After the temperature has been measured, the device automatically
switches to the time and ambient temperature display mode (if the
time was programmed) or switches off.
3.4 Measuring the temperature at your forehead
1. To measure the body temperature at your forehead,
the sensor cover

must be attached.
2. Press the On/Scan button

.
3. All symbols appear in the display at first. If the symbol
for measuring the temperature in the ear

flashes,
press the On/Scan button

again to switch to the mode for
taking a measurement in the ear. The change is confirmed by a
beep. The last temperature measured will appear (see Fig.)
4. As soon as the forehead temperature symbol

appears in the
display

, the device is ready for use (see Fig.)
5. Hold the device with the sensor

against the centre of your
forehead and press the On/Scan button

. Hold down the On/Scan
button

and drag the thermometer from the centre of your
forehead to the side, as far as your temple. When you reach this
position, release the button.
6. When temperature measurement is complete, you will hear a beep
and the body temperature will appear in the display

.
Stretch your ear canal by pulling your ear backwards and
upwards and carefully insert the sensor into the ear.
