Extraction
(Audio-) Taking digital audio data from a CD-

Finalizing
If an audio CD has not been finalized, the CD
can only be played back in the CD-Rewriter.
Hi-Fi players cannot play back CDs which
have not been finalized.
Fixing
In contrast to finalizing which finalizes the en-
tire CD, fixing is restricted to one session.
