You have a choice of several connection sockets.
It does not matter which you use.
1. If you wish to use a printer , scanner or other
device with a USB port, connect the cable to the
USB socket on your PC.
For detailed information refer to the chapters USB (start-
ing on page 57) or IEEE-1394 (starting on page 58).

Finally, connect the power supply to your PC and monitor, by
plugging the power cord into the outlet. Observe the follow-
ing
safety precautions :
• The power socket must be in the vicinity of the PC
and within reach of the power cables. DO NOT
stretch the power cables tightly to reach a
power socket
.
• In order to disconnect your PC from the power source,
or set the PC to voltage free, remove the power cord
from the socket. Use
only the supplied power cord.
• To provide additional protection against electric
shock, power surges, lightning strikes, or other elec-
trical damage to your PC, we recommend the use of a
surge protector .
• If you are using an extension cord , ensure that the
cord meets your local safety requirements. If in
doubt, ask an electrician.
• The power supply unit has an On/Off switch ( X2 ) that
can be used to power off the PC. When the switch is
Off no power is being consumed.
