9. Connecting an external playback device
You can use the
AUX IN
or
LINE IN
connection to connect an external playback
device (for example a CD player or MP3 player).
Move the
POWER
switch to the
OFF
position to switch the device to standby
mode.
Switch off your external device.
Plug one end of a 3.5 mm jack cord (not supplied with the device) into the
AUX
IN
socket on the top of the device or a stereo cinch cord (not supplied with the
device) into the
LINE IN
socket on the back of the device.
Connect the other end of the cord to your external device.
Switch on your external device.
Switch on the party sound system by pressing the
FUNCTION/
button.
Press the
FUNCTION/
button repeatedly to select the desired input (
AUX
/
LINE
).
Switch on the party sound system by moving the
POWER
switch to the
ON
position.
Press the
FUNCTION/
button several times until you see
AUH
(AUX) or
LINE
(LINE IN) in the display.
The audio signal from your external device will now be played back.
10. Radio
Press the
FUNCTION/
button once or several times to switch to radio mode.
The display indicates
FM
and the current frequency.
After an electrostatic discharge on the device, it may take up to 4
minutes for the device to play the last radio station received.
10.1. Tuning the stations
Press the
/TUN. +
or
/TUN.-
button briefly to set a particular frequency.
Hold down one of the buttons to automatically search for the next station.
The frequency of the radio stations is changed in 0.05 MHz steps.
However, this is not displayed. Instead, the last digit flashes once
without changing.
Press the
/TUN. +
or
/TUN.-
button until the desired frequency is set.
