11. Phono operation
Lay the turntable mat onto the turntable.
Remove the protective cap from the pick-up arm.
NOTE!
Please keep this protective cap safe.
11.1. Playing records
Switch the device on by pressing .
If necessary, press the
FUNCTION
button until the operating mode
PHONO
appears on the display.
Place a record on the turntable.
Before playing a single with a larger hole, place the adapter (“puck”) on the spin-
dle.
NOTE!
Make sure that the record is free of dust. You can find
appropriate record-cleaning brushes and cloths in spe-
cialist retail shops.
Select the desired speed with the speed controller:
−
33 rpm for LPs
−
45 rpm for singles
Set the
AUTO STOP
switch to decide whether the record automatically stops
at the end of playback (
ON
).
Release the latch for the pick-up arm and carefully lift up the pick-up arm.
Move the pick-up arm inwards over the edge of the record or over the point
from which you want to play the record. The turntable starts to rotate.
Carefully place the pick-up arm onto the position from which you want to play
the record. The needle goes down and the record starts to play.
Control the volume with the volume controller.
Depending on the setting of the
AUTO STOP
function, the turntable will stop
when the record stops playing and the pick-up arm remains in its end position.
