27. Customer Service
27.1. Faults and Possible Causes
The navigation system no longer reacts or is behaving atypically.
Carry out a reset.
The navigation system is recognised only as a guest by ActiveSync®.
See information on page 66.
The GPS receiver cannot be initialised or found.
If a GPS signal continues not to be reported on the screen, in spite of the correct
installation of the system, this can be caused by the following factors:
Sufficient satellite reception is not possible.
Solution
:
Change the position of your navigation system and ensure that unrestricted “sight”
of the aerial is not impaired.
No language statements can be heard.
Check the volume setting.
CAUTION!
If, as a result of an unforeseeable combination of operating
steps, faulty data transfer or electrostatic discharge the
navigation system or the card reader can no longer be
operated, switch off the navigation device completely (Hard
Reset) and then subsequently place the device back into
operation.

What additional peripherals do you use?
•
What messages, if any, appear on your screen?

What software were you using when the error occurred?

What steps have you already undertaken to solve the problem?
If you have been given a customer number previously, please give this number to
the technician.
