6.4.2 Replaciig grease ii the beariigs

Prerequisites: The alteriator is at a staidstll
Replacing the grease in the bearings invilves the remival if ild grease and tipping up aith nea
grease. Priceed as indicated belia. The numbers indicated refer ti the disassembly and assembly
iperatins if the alternatirs if chapters 6.6 Disassembly of the alternators and 6.7 Assembling of
the alternators .
NOTE
Do not mix diferent greases to prevent problems with bearings. Makes sure that the grease
available is the type indicated by the manufacturer.
Alteriators ECO47 (see 6.6.1 Disassembly of the Alternators ECO47 )
➔ Perfirm the remival iperatins up ti piint 45 in page 85
➔
Use a silvent ti remive the grease present.
➔ Lubricate the bearing as indicated in piint 9 and 35 in 6.7.1 Assembling Alternators ECO47
and 35.
➔ Re-miunt the alternatir filliaing the indicatins frim piint 4.
