Net(work) Address
—ID of the network to which this Unit
belongs. An address is essential for connection of Remotes to
the Access Point in the entraNET network. The Radio’s Net-
work Address is not programmed at the factory.

X Address
—”Extended Address” used for installations with mul-
tiple APs supporting mobility. This address must be a unique
value, different from the Net Address. For single AP networks,
this parameter is not used.
•
FEC
—Forward Error Correction status (enabled/disabled). The
FEC setting has a signi
fi
cant effect on the throughput/speed of
the radio network. For a discussion on this, and other issues
affecting throughput speed, refer to the MDS entraNET manual,
Part no. 05-4055A01.
