Caution!
Do not use volatile or flammable substances
(petrol, alcohol etc.) to ignite the fire.
Do not use fuels that could release toxic
substances or pollutants.
Do not put the fire out by throwing water on it.
Check the external and internal air inlets and the
flue pipe at least once a year, cleaning them
thoroughly.
During use, the metal parts and glazing reach
very high temperatures. Use the heat protective
glove supplied when reloading or adjusting the
appliance or removing ash.
Never leave children unsupervised near the
closed fireplace when it is operating.
There is a very high risk of scalding due to
contact with hot parts.
5.5.
FUEL LOADING
For normal fuel loading simply open the fire door by operating one of
the associated outlets on the right or left of the closed fireplace using
the cold hand supplied. This is shown in
figure 12. Simply thread the
cold hand on the hole and lift the door upwards. Reverse this procedure
to close the door.
During use the metal structure and the glass reach very high
temperature. Therefore, use suitable heat protection (for
example gloves).
During normal use of the appliance
always
keep the door fully
lowered/ closed
as intermediate positions cause defective
combustion (forge effect) and rapid consumption of the wood as well
as possible smoke leaks due to the high temperatures in the
combustion chamber.
Only open the door to load fuel and only do so for short periods
of time.
The closed fireplace reaches maximum output and most efficient
operation when the door is closed as the seal of the combustion
chamber and the calibrated oxygen inlet allow an increased level of
efficiency.
Nominal combustion has a duration of 50 mins. Therefore,
to achieve the nominal hourly loading specified in the table
in chapter 3 load the quantity shown in brackets in the table
every 50 minutes.
