FLUE PIPE CONNECTION
We recommend that you connect the closed fireplace to the flue pipe
using aluminised steel pipes and bends that are able to withstand
corrosion from fumes and the high temperatures that this section
reaches. These connections are available in various sizes upon request
(see our price list) and simplify installation and assembly by fitting one
inside the other. (fig. 7)
Any increase in the connecting section must be made
directly above the hood of the closed fireplace and
not along the flue pipe.
Once installation is complete, you MUST insulate the
smoke connection with ceramic fibre mat or a
material able to withstand temperatures of at least
600 C.

ASSEMBLING THE CLADDING AND REVERSE
HOOD
READ CHAPTER 6.2 "OPERATING TEST" BEFORE
STARTING TO CLAD THE CLOSED FIREPLACE
The closed fireplace and parts of the cladding must be fixed to each
other
WITHOUT BEING IN CONTACT WITH THE STEEL
STRUCTURE.
This prevents transfer of heat to marble and/ or stone
and allows for normal heat expansion. Pay attention to any wooden
finishings such as beams and shelves.
We recommend that you create the reverse hood in 15/ 20 mm
thick fire-proof plasterboard
with a self-supporting frame in zinc-
coated covering so as not to weigh down on the parts of the cladding
(wooden beams or marble architraves) that do not have supporting
structures.
This also allows you to intervene easily in the event
of faults and / or for future maintenance.
Dry fit the fire plane of the
cladding, leaving an opening of
1 cm
between the closed fireplace and the fire plane in order to fit the
insulation. (fig. 8)
