TOTAL mode: Elapsed time since the start of the first track.
REMAINING mode: Time remaining on disc.
SERVICE mode: Total number of tracks and total playing time of the disc are shown. At
the end of 5 seconds the display switches back to TIME mode.
DISC
G: SINGLE: Used when the player is to be operated as a single disc unit.
H: PUSHBUTTONS 1 THROUGH 6: Used when discs are stored inside the player.
TRACK
I: TEN BUTTON KEYPAD: Used for entering disc track numbers from 1 to 99.
J: CLEAR: Used to cancel any track numbers just selected.
OPERATING MODES
K: STORE: Used to insert up to 6 discs inside the player.
L: LOAD: Used to insert and remove a disc in the player for single disc operation. It is also
used to remove discs stored inside the player.
M: PLAY: Starts playback in all modes of operation.
N: RANDOM: Causes the player to play all discs and tracks in a totally random order. Playback
will continue until all discs and tracks have been played. If a single disc is in the player, each
of the tracks on that disc will be played in a random order.
0: REV (Reverse): Pressing and holding this button causes fast movement backwards on a
disc. The output is muted by 12dB during this operation. The speed of movement increases
after 3 seconds.
P: FF (Fast Forward): Allows a similar fast forward movement on the disc.
Q: BACK: Moves the player back to the beginning of the previous track, or the beginning of
the track being played.
R: NEXT: Moves the player forward to the next track.
S: STOP: Causes the player to stop playing and remain in a standby mode.
T: PAUSE: Stops the playback at the point the button is pressed. Resume playback by pushing
the PLAY button.
U: REPEAT: Causes the player to play each disc stored, and when finished will start playback
again from disc one and continue as long as desired. If a single disc is stored, that disc will
be played over and over from the beginning track. To cancel REPEAT, press REPEAT again
or the STOP button.
V: SCAN: Plays the first ten seconds of each disc stored in the player to identify the disc
inventory, starting from disc 1.
W: VOLUME: Adjusts the level of the VARIABLE OUTPUTS as well as the headphone listen-
ing. The VARIABLE OUTPUTS can also be adjusted by Up [ ] and Down [ ] pushbuttons
on the HR7008 remote controller. The volume control is a precision analog motor driven unit.
X: PHONES: An output for standard dynamic headphone listening. Headphones with an im-
pedance rating from 8 to 1000 ohms can be used.
