Operating System Recovery
Operating System Recovery
For ease of recovery, you can restore the operating system image and proprietary
software to the default factory values. The recovery image does not include any
user settings or data.
If an operating system malfunction cannot be repaired, follow these steps to
restore the 1U Server to the factory value using the restore image.
1. Restart the 1U Server
2. Press F11 when you see the "Press F11 for Acronis Startup Recovery Manager"
message during the startup process. This starts the recovery software
independently of the failed operating system.
3. Follow the prompts to recover the original shipped operating system
configuration. The recovery process will take less than five minutes and will
overwrite the failed operating system image and all data. Do not delete the
operating system partition or re-initialize the drives; the restore software will
perform all the functions required to restore the system to the original factory
default.
4. When finished, restore your SAN management data and settings.
