Quick Tour of Internet Guard Dog™
Internet Guard Dog has a database of URL sites, extensive word list as well
as a new rating system to use in protecting users from Internet privacy and
security threats. The Administrator can also set the time and day that a user
can have access to the Internet.

Options
The Options button in the User Setup screen allows you to access and
change settings of specific Internet Guard Dog features such as changing
passwords and alert message sound effects.

Using McAfee VirusScan
Internet Guard Dog now uses the McAfee VirusScan to address virus-related
problems you may encounter through the Internet. This feature allows you to
set how to perform a virus scan operation on your computer; what to do if a
virus is found; and how it should alert you once the virus is detected. You can
also direct VirusScan to keep a record of actions performed on your computer.

Viewing Activity Logs
Internet Guard Dog now provides a list of activities that an Administrator can
view via the Activity Logs feature. This list is generated based on his preferred
security and privacy settings for himself and for other profiled users he
created. Anything from dates and time that a user logged on, to PC
maintenance, and violation (e.g., a user attempting to pass a credit card
number) can be viewed at the single click of a button.
The Administrator can print, save or clear this list which contain any of the
following:
• Violation
Displays any activity of a profiled user that violates any of the preset
protection settings that the Administrator has indicated (e.g., attempting
to pass a credit card number).
