Troubleshooting
In purchasing the Mc Crypt X-Over 85 active cross-over, you have acquired a reliable product which designed to the
state-of-the-art and operationally safe.
Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur.
Therefore, we would like to describe how to eliminate possible errors here:
Always observe the safety information!
Device does not work after the on-off switch POWER (1) was switched on.
• The mains plug is not plugged into the socket correctly.
• The mains cable is not correctly connected to the device mains connection (16).
• The mains socket is not supplied with current.
• The fuse is defective.
The active cross-over is turned on but no sound can be heard.
• No input signal, check the signal source and its connection.
• Amplifier and speakers are not or incorrectly installed or not switched on.
No signal can be heard although the SIGNAL LED of the status display (4) indicates a signal.
• Downstream devices (amplifier) are not switched on or set incorrectly.
• The outputs are not connected or connected incorrectly.
A drone can be heard.
• There is a ground hum between the connected devices. Connect the signal ground with special earth-insulated
cables.
One channel does not work.
• A connection cable came loose.
• The balance controls or volume controls at the amplifiers are misadjusted.
The sound is distorted.
• The level at the active cross-over is set incorrectly/the connected amplifiers are overmodulated. The CLIP LED
of the status display (4) is lit.
• The volume at the connected amplifiers is set too high.
Repairs other than those described above must only be carried out by an authorised specialist.
