Connection
c) Connecting the Power Supply
The active cross-over and all connected devices must be switched off.
The mains socket to which the active cross-over is connected must be easily accessible to
quickly separate the device from the mains voltage in case of an error.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause fatal
electrical shock.
Make sure that no cables lie around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent accidents.
Ensure before plugging in the mains plug that the device voltage set at the active cross-over
corresponds to the available mains voltage. Do not connect the device if the setting does not
correspond to the available mains voltage. Wrong supply voltage will cause serious damage.
If an extension line is used, ensure that it is designed for the respective load.
• Before connecting the mains voltage, check the position of the voltage selection switch (15). The voltage set must
correspond to the mains voltage to which the active cross-over is to be connected. Adjust the device voltage to
the local mains voltage with the voltage selection switch (15). You may set the device voltage to
110 - 120 V/60 Hz or 220 - 240 V/50 Hz.
The factory settings for the voltage selection switch is 220 - 240 V/50 Hz and the corresponding device fuse is
used.
Please observe that the device fuse value depends on the device voltage set. If you change the
device voltage to 110 - 120 V/60 Hz, the device fuse must be replaced accordingly. Observe the
fuse values indicated in “Technical Data”.
• Plug the included mains cable into the mains connection (16) of the active cross-over.
• Plug the mains plug into a mains socket.
