4. Safety instructions
The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with
these operating instructions. We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use
or failure to observe the safety instructions. In such cases the warranty/guarantee is voided.
Dear Customer, the following safety instructions are intended not only for the protection of the device but
also for the protection of your health. Please read through the following points attentively:
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety and approval
reasons (CE).
• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be trained and qualified
appropriately and observe these operating instructions.
• This device is a safety class II product. Only a standard power socket (230V~/50Hz) of the public mains supply
may be used.
• This product is equipped with a class 1 laser. Do not open the device and do not attempt to access interior
components. Never look directly into the laser beam. Laser radiation can seriously damage your eyes.
• To make sure the device is set up properly, observe these operating instructions.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical stress.
Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable through extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable.
Otherwise, the mains cable could be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
• If the mains cable has been damaged, do not touch it. First, cut off the power supply to the relevant mains socket
(e.g. via the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug carefully out of the mains socket. Separate the mains
cable from the device. Never use the product if the power line is damaged.
• In order to completely separate the device from the mains supply, pull the mains plug of the CD player out of the
wall socket. It is not sufficient to switch off the CD player using the power switch.
