opened for the time required to load or unload products and it will keep the internal temperature of the unit from rising and
therefore from consuming more energy, which would be required to bring the product back to its initial preservation tem-
perature. Products that are dispatched from suppliers must be stored in the cabinets or in the fridge cells in order to avoid
excessive loss of cold due to long periods of time without refrigeration. In order for the unit to work properly, products must
be arranged in such a way as not to block or obstruct the circulation of refrigerated air.
WARNING: Children must be monitored closely to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
5 MAINTENANCE
All maintenance operations and repairs must be carried out with the unit in stop position and with
the power of the unit and of the condenser unit switched off. These maintenance operations must
only be carried out by specialised qualified staff.
5.1 PERIODIC CHECKS
The unit must be checked at least once a year by qualified staff in order to verify the correct operation of the
system; the following must be verified:
•
the condensed water drainage system must work correctly
•
check for gas refrigerant leaks and make sure the refrigeration unit works correctly
•
make sure the condition of the electric system is completely safe
•
check the door gaskets as well as the door itself and make sure it closes correctly
•
clean the condenser of the refrigeration unit
5.2 REPLACING THE COMPRESSOR / REFRIGERANT GAS
If the compressor is damaged or if it needs replacement, retrieve the refrigerant gas and oil and prevent spread-
ing into the environment.
5.3 CLEANING THE REFRIGERATION UNIT’S CONDENSER
Please referred back to the condenser cleaning section.
5.4 DISPOSAL OF MATERIALS
To be executed according to regulations on special waste. Materials such as lamps, glass,
plastic and gaskets, plates, polyurethane foam, electric controls and electrical materials in
general, all must be collected and/or disposed of in authorised dumping grounds and/or
authorised waste disposal centres, avoid dispersing into the environment.
Make sure to collect refrigerant gas and oil and put them into special bins; do not dump
them into the sewers, dispose of them following the relevant product instructions according
to regulations in force of the relevant country.
