6. Ensure that the workpiece is adequately suppor-
ted or clamped. Do not place your hands on the
surface to be cut. Only hold the machine using
the handle.
7. If saw blades have to be secured to the spindle
thread, ensure that the spindle has an adequate
thread.
8. Ensure that the saw blade has been correctly fit-
ted and secured. Do not use any reducer rings or
adapters to make the saw blade fit properly.
9. Only place the machine on a workpiece after it
has been switched on.
10. Hold the machine securely in both hands at all
times and ensure that you keep a safe distance.
11. People under the age of 16 may not be allowed
to use the machine.
12. Always wear safety goggles and hair protector.
On request or if necessary, use additional safety
equipment such as an apron or a helmet.
13. Always pull the mains plug before you carry out
any work on the machine and only place the plug
in the socket when the machine is switched off.
14. Keep the power cable away from the machine’s
working area. Always route the cable away to the
rear. The base plate must not be secured when
the blade is extended. The blade must be raised
and lowered evenly.
Electrical safety
1. Always check that the mains connection is identi-
cal to the voltage shown on the model plate.
2. Your machine has double insulation in accor-
dance with EN 50144. Therefore no earth conduc-
tor is required.
Replacement of cables or plugs
1. Caution! Damaged mains cables pose a danger of
death by electric shock. Only have repairs carried
out by a specialist or your local service outlet.
2. Discard old cables and plugs immediately
after they have been replaced with new ones.
Connecting a plug with a loose cable to the
mains supply is dangerous.
Using extension cables
1. Only use extension cables which are approved for
the machine’s power rating. The minimum cable
size is 1.5 mm². If you use a cable drum, always<s
unwind the complete drum.
7. Operation
Adjusting the cutting depth
1. Slide the motor base plate (14) as far as possible
to the rear.
2. Adjust the cutting depth using the cutting
adjustment knob (6).
3. Slide the motor base plate (14) forwards and
check whether the pin engages in the groove on
the locking knob. The following table shows the
relationship between the marks on the adjus-
tment knob and the cutting depth, material
thickness and the dowels linked to them:

Adjust the cutting angle
1. Adjust the cutting angle by undoing the locking
knob (7) and inserting the angle stop (4) at the
required angle.
Adjust the height
1. Adjust the correct height by undoing the secu-
ring knob (8) and turning the knob for height
adjustment (9) using the scale (10). The height
must correspond to half the material thickness
of the workpiece; the cutting dowel groove
(or notch) must always be in the centre of the
workpiece.
Secure accessory parts
1. Pull the plug before starting any work on the
electric tool.
Fit saw blade
1. Undo the four screws and open the base plate
mounting.
2. Press the spindle lock and turn the spindle until
it engages. Press and hold the spindle lock
whilst you move the spindle.
3. Remove the flange nut from the spindle using a
wrench.
4. Fit the saw blade and the flange.
