Maintenance
1.
Release the tensioners according to the specifications of the
relevant installation manual.
2.
Loosen the locking screws (not shown) on the spring tensioner
when using the spring tensioning device or when using the
MARTIN
®
TWIST
™
spring tensioner, turn the scraper away
from the head drum with its aid.
3.
Fold the scraper forward.
4.
Open the pin hitch (1, Fig. 10).
5.
Remove the primary cleaner cartridge (4, Fig. 10) by pulling the
complete primary cleaner cartridge in the direction of the oper-
ator side.
6.
Insert and install the new primary cleaner cartridge in the hollow
spring dowel sleeve at the far end.
7.
Place the scrapers against the drum head again.
8.
If the tensioner was de-installed, reinstall it as described in the
installation manual for the tensioner.
9.
When using the spring tensioner, fasten the arresting screws
(without picture) of the tensioner.
10. Check the installation as described in chapter 5.4, "Installation
check-list".
11. Tension the scraper (refer to the installation manual of the re-
spective spring tensioner for the tension specifications).
12. Remove all tools from the working area.
13. Turn the conveyor system on again.
14. Monitor the cleaner and test its cleaning performance.
