ance with the applicable regulations.
Wall or ceiling installation
➊
Install the ventilation duct into the wall or ceiling. For wall installation ensure there is a
slight gradient (~2°) towards the outside. For ceiling installation you must insulate the
air duct if it passes through unheated areas.
➋
Glue the foam tapes all around sections (A) according to the size of duct used.
➌
Remove the cover (B) and connect the fan according to circuit diagram (D).
➍
Secure the cable near the cable entry using the strain relief and rubber ring and
replace the cover.
➎
Insert the fan into the ventilation duct – Please note: ensure direction arrow (C) on the
fan's type plate is pointing in the direction of the desired air flow.
➏
Fit protective grating onto both ends of the ventilation duct for additional protection
against moisture and contact with moving parts.
Important information
• The voltage and frequency of the power supply must comply with the fan's specifica-
tions.
• The installation site must have an all-pole disconnecting device from the mains with a
contact opening width of at least 3 mm.
• The fans are double-insulated and do not require a protective earth conductor.
• Installation in rooms with high moisture must be performed according to DIN/VDE
0100 T 701.
• If operated near a fireplace with chimney, care must be taken to ensure that sufficient
air can enter the room being ventilated.
• Use a soft brush or damp cloth to clean, do not use any solvents.
