A - DAILY CHECKS
A1 - BRAKING EFFICIENCY
CHECK
When the tiller arm is in zones (1) and (3) (fig . A1), the electromagnetic brake must lock
the drive wheel .
A2 - WHEEL AND ROLLER WEAR
CHECK
The drive unit, the stabilising wheel and the rear rollers must show no signs of cutting or wear .
A3 - CHAIN TENSION
CHECK
After having placed the forks or the tool in the down position, the chain must be tight . Visually check the chain tension .
A4 - HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OPERATION
CHECK
Operate each “raise”/“lower” control button on the tiller arm . The fork or the tool must then be raised or lowered smoothly
and without jamming . Jerkiness during lowering may be due to air in the hydraulic system .
A5 - KEY SWITCH OPERATION
CHECK
The key switch prevents unauthorised use of the stacker . Switch off the power with the key (the battery charge indicator will
go out), then remove it . Operate the “raise”/“lower” buttons . The fork or the tool must not move .
A6 - BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL
CHECK
Check the battery charge level . If two red LEDs are alternately flashing, the batteries require recharging .
A7 - MAINS LEAD
CHECK
Check that the charger is not connected to the mains supply and that the lead is correctly in place in the dummy socket . If it is not
in place, a safety system will prevent stacker operation .
