The roller protection actuator is connected to the tractor’s external hydraulics. At
the end of the field, the operator must free the roller and then raise the plough.
Then it should push the pin in using the actuator. During travel, the hook will point
itself towards the bolt.
4.13. Assembly and dismantling of the end pair of plough bodies
Ploughs marked with the 3+ and 4+ symbol have the
ability to take on an extra beam together with a pair
of plough bodies. Before assembling/dismantling, the
plough should be secured on a level / hard surface. A
means of lifting and transporting the unit should be
used. The weight of the complete unit ranges from 210 -
265 kg depending on the equipment bolted to it. Before
beginning to bolt on elements, remove the plastic
cap. Beams are bolted together with six M20x65 bolts.
The complete set includes M20 nuts and Z 20.5 spring
washers.
5 Operating the ORKAN VARIO plough
Daily maintenance
At the end of the each ploughing session, the plough should be cleaned of soil and
plant residue. Check all bolted and pinned connections and the condition of the working
components and other parts. In case of damage or wear, such parts need to be replaced.
All loose bolt connections should be tightened and any damaged pins and cotters should
be replaced. Before operation and after each wash, lubricate the grease points (chapter
5.1). Never direct a stream of liquid at bearings.
Seasonal maintenance
After the ploughing season has ended, the plough must be cleaned, any damage
done to the paint coating must be touched up and scratched surfaces thoroughly cleaned
and protected. In addition, complete lubrication must be carried out. It is recommended to
keep the agricultural machinery under shelter during any longer interval in its operation.
However, if this is not possible, check the condition of the protection periodically and, if
necessary, make up for any lubricant rinsed off by the rain
5.1. Lubrication
Before lubrication, grease nipples should be thoroughly cleaned. The following grease
points should be lubricated depending on the intensity of use:
