4.9. Rolling coulter
Properly set, rolling coulters should work:
• up to half the depth of the furrow
made by a plough body,
• at the distance of 1 - 3 cm from the skid,
• up to the maximum 1/3 of their diameter,
• at the minimum distance of 5 cm before
the edge of the first ridge, the mould
-
board and the share,
• without interfering with the gauge wheel.
All rolling coulters should be uniformly
aligned.
To change the operating depth of the rolling
coulter:
• support the cutting arm so that it does
not drop down,
• loosen the operating depth adjustment bolt,
• turn the frame on the rack to the desired
position,
• tighten the bolt.
The distance from the skid is set:
• by loosening bolts A and B,
• turning A bolt on it axis in the longitudinal
hole of B bolt to the desired position,
• tightening A and B bolts.
