7.1 Filter replacement display
Filter replacement prompt is displayed on
the room air control every 3 months. We
recommend replacing the filter every 6
months at the latest. Filter replacement is
simple and requires no tools.
1. Check the air filter as described in
Chapter 6.2 when the filter replacement
LED on the room air control flashes.
2. Timer RESET: Reset the timer on the
room air control for the filter replacement
interval to zero
Chapter 4.2.4, Chap-
ter 4.3.2 or Assembly and operating
instructions RLS D1 WR.

replacement display on the digital

7.2 Fault displays
● Call on the services of a trained electrician
if there is a fault.
● Repairs should only be carried out by a
trained electrician.
The
RLS1 WR
room air control indicates a
fault when all three LEDs are flashing. The
cause is either a “fan failure” or a “tempe-
rature sensor fault”.
The fault also appears in the event of a
defective frost protection heating register and
when the switch-off temperature is reached in
the supply air channel.

replacement display on the digital

7.2.1 Deleting fault message
(only with RLS 1 WR room air control)
1.
Press the ▲ button for about 5 seconds.
If the fault is not rectified, the fault message
appears again after about 1 minute. This can
be deleted a maximum of 3 times.
Briefly disconnect the ventilation unit from the
power supply for further deletion cycles. Call
on the services of a specialist installer should
the fault reappear.
7.2.2 Fan failure
In the case of failure of one of the two fans
(no speed), a fault message (all 3 LEDs
flashing) appears on the RLS 1 WR room air
control after about a minute.
When the fault message is displayed and
there is a failure of the
●
supply air fan
, the defined voltage for the
supply air and exhaust air fan
switches
off
. Both fans remain stationary. However
the supply voltage of 230 V continues to
be supplied to both fans. Any connected
external operating display switches off.
●
the exhaust fan,
the defined voltage for
the exhaust fan
switches off.
The exhaust
fan remains stationary but the supply air
fan continues to run. The 230 V supply
voltage continues to be supplied to both
fans. Any connected external operating
display switches off.
Call on the services of an
electrician to rectify the fault.
7.2.3 Temperature sensor fault
The ventilation unit goes into fault mode if the
internal
frost protection temperature
sensor
fails (short circuit, cable break or
because it is not connected). Both fans switch
off immediately.
The ventilation unit goes into fault mode if the
internal
outside air temperature sensor
fails
(short circuit, cable break or because it is not
connected). The bypass shutter is closed.
The fault message on the room
air control goes out after approx.
1 minute (no LED lit up). The fans
remain switched off, the bypass
shutter remains blocked.
