6.3 Cleaning the ventilation unit
Maintenance intervals
Depending on the level of
contamination, we recommend:
● annual cleaning of the heat exchanger
● annual cleaning of inside
● six-monthly cleaning of the condensate
drain and siphon
6.3.1 Cleaning the heat exchanger and
ventilation unit
1. Switch the ventilation unit off with the main
switch [6].
2. Release the 2 quick-release clips and
remove the front cover.
NOTICE
The sealing strip will be
damaged if the heat
exchanger is pulled out or
inserted at an angle.
● Do not move the ventilation
unit.
● Do not twist heat exchanger.
3. Pull the heat exchanger carefully out of the
ventilation unit using plastic strap.
4. Do not clean the heat exchanger with
liquids (including water). Use a hand-held
vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the
air inlet surfaces.
5. Wipe the inside walls of the ventilation unit
out with a cleaning cloth.
6. Push the cleaned heat exchanger care-
fully into the housing as far as it will go
sticker on the front side, that indicates
the position.
7. Attach the front cover and lock it in place
with the two quick-release clips.
8. Switch the ventilation unit off with the main
switch [6].
6.4 Cleaning the condensate drain
and siphon
1. Switch the ventilation unit off with the
selector switch [6].
2. Release the 2 quick-release clips and
remove the front cover.
3. Remove any deposits from the
condensation tank and/or the drain line.
Flush the line out with sufficient water.
4. The siphon must be filled up with water.
Otherwise infiltrated air is sucked
into the ventilation unit through the
drain line.
5. Attach the front cover and lock it in place
with the two quick-release clips.
6. Switch the ventilation unit off with the
selector switch [6].
Fill the siphon up with water after
long dry periods. For example, in
autumn, before starting the
ventilation unit up again.
