Load Cell Zero and Full Weight Calibration
The WSB has a set of load cells for weighing the weigh bin. The load cells must be calibrated periodically with zero
and full weight calibrations for proper operation and accurate weight reporting. The zero calibration routine should be
performed routinely to tare the load cells back to zero or near zero when necessary. The Full weight calibration should
be performed periodically to set the calibration slope. Full Weight Recalibration of the load cells is recommended
every 6 months especially if totals are collected from the blender. The following instructions outline how to calibration
the weigh bin load cells, identified as the load cell assembly that weighs the removable weigh bin.
Before performing a Zero Weight Calibration or a Zero/Full Weight Calibration, verify the following:
BE SURE
the weigh bin is EMPTY.
BE SURE
the load cell cable is plugged into the side of the controller.
BE SURE
the weigh bin is resting on the load cells freely and does not make contact with anything around it.
BE SURE
the air line to the
weigh bin’s dump valve is connected as it would be during normal operation.
BE SURE
The load cells and bin are not jammed in any way. To test for this, see that a light touch on the bin
causes the display to change. When the pressure is removed the display must return to exactly
where it was, plus or minus 1 gram. If this does not happen, bin is not entirely free to move. Check
EVERYTHING around the bin.

Calibrate Load Cells
Press
ZERO
Display will say: Visually confirm that the weigh bin
is empty and then press:
YES
(if weigh bin is not
empty it can be dumped using DUMP BIN button).
After pressing ZERO, a gram weight of
0
(+/- a few
grams) should be displayed.
The ZERO calibration of the load cells is complete.
If a FULL WEIGHT calibration is to be performed next, continue to FULL WEIGHT
CALIBRATION on the next page. Otherwise, if only the ZERO calibration is to be
performed at this time, exit calibration mode.
Press
To go back to the Home screen.
FULL weight calibration may also be done at this time.
FULL Weight Calibration, see next page.
