If the embossed character height is too deep or shallow (refer to section 1.3 for character
height specifications) adjustments can be made through the Font Editing Utility. Additional
adjustment can be made to other parameters in this utility but will not be discussed in this
manual; for more information on this utility refer to the API manual (p\n: 99875363).
To select this utility navigate to the main Menu screen and select the Font Editing button. Once
this function is selected you will be prompted for the user passwords. After properly entering
the passwords, the Font Editing Utility screen will be displayed as shown below. Scroll down
the options list until you reach “EmbossAngleTop” and “EmbossAngleBottom” options (top and
bottom hammers).
To change the height of the embosser character you must adjust the hammer impression
depth. First, decide which hammer to adjust and select the numerical value below the hammer.
Once you select the value the screen below will be shown.
