Brake
Make sure the parking brake is released.
Chain drive
Check the chains in the propulsion system to
see if they are in place and tensioned properly.
Remove any debris in the chains or in other
parts of the propulsion system.
Throttle behavior
Make sure the throttle is returned fully to its
neutral position before pushing the throttle;
this gives the clutch time to engage.
When changing direction, fully release the
throttle to neutral position and incorporate a
slight pause before moving the throttle for the
opposite direction; this gives the clutch time to
engage.
