8. Settings
Prior to using the MAGINON® WK 1, change the settings to suit your requirements.
Below is a list of all setting options of the camera.
8.1. Menu settings
Slide the Mode switch of the wildlife camera to the TEST position to start the test
mode. In the photo or video mode push the MENU button to start the Menu function.
Press the

buttons to select the desired menu option. Press the
and
buttons to confi rm any changes. Without pressing OK the changed settings will not
be saved when leaving the menu.
Below, all menu options of the MAGINON® WK 1 and possible settings are described.
The default setting is always shown in
BOLD
.

Mode:
photo mode
, video mode, photo + video
Select either photos or video clips to be recorded upon detection of any motion.
When set to “Photo + Video” mode, the camera fi rst takes a photos and then a
video.

Formatting:
confi rm
All fi les are deleted by formatting of the memory card. Press the
OK
button and
confi rm the formatting by selecting “Yes”.
We highly recommend formatting the memory card if it has been used in other
devices or is new.
Caution: Ensure that any required fi les remaining on the memory card have been
backed up prior to formatting

Photo resolution: 5 mega pixels
, 12 mega pixels (interpolated)
Select a resolution from 5 to 12 mega pixels for photos.
A higher resolution produces a slightly better photo quality but also larger fi les,
taking up more room on the memory card. The resolution of 12 mega pixels is
produced by interpolation. The recommended size is
5 mega pixels
