Self-timer
The camera offers various self-timer options to ensure that you can always be part of a
photo.
[
] 10 sec.: The camera takes a photo 10 seconds after the shutter release has been
pressed.
[
] 2 sec.: The camera takes a photo 2 seconds after the shutter release has been
pressed.
[
] Triple: The camera takes three photos: The first photo 10 seconds after pressing the
shutter release and the second and third photo after it is ready to take another photo.
[
] Off: Photos are taken when the shutter release is pressed.
Optimising brightness (D-Lighting)
With the “D-Lighting” function the brightness of photos can be corrected. The camera at-
tempts to produce the best possible balance between bright and dark image areas. Saving a
picture takes somewhat longer than for photos without activated “D-Lighting“.
Silent mode
The “Silent” mode configures the settings of the camera in such a way that people in the
immediate vicinity are not disturbed by the use of the camera. The function
deactivates the flash mode and any operating sounds are muted. This can be
advantageous in museums or in concerts where photographing is less desirable.
The “Silent” mode is active in the Recording and in the Playback mode.
