14. Problem solving
Prior to returning the camera for repair check the following list of symptoms and
possible solutions. Please contact our Customer Service if the problem persists.
Symptom

Possible solution
Camera cannot be
switched on.
Battery not or incorrectly inserted.
Insert battery correctly.
The battery is empty.
Charge battery again.
The battery charge level drops
quickly.
The battery is not fully charged After
charging the battery has not been used for a
longer period.
Fully charge battery and discharge it com-
pletely at least once prior to use to increase its
performance and service life.
The battery or camera feels
warm.
This can occur when camera/flash are used
for a longer time.

The camera does not take any
photos despite
pressing the shutter release.
The shutter release was not pressed fully.
Depress shutter release fully.
The memory does not have sufficient
memory.
Insert a new memory card or delete unwanted
files.
The memory card is write protected.
Remove write protection.
The LCD display shows no
images.
Battery charge level too low.
Charge battery again.
The camera is set to Auto
focus but the focus does
not work.
The lens is dirty.
Wipe the lens using a soft, dry cloth or special
lens paper.
The distance to the subject matter is greater
than the effective range.
Ensure that the subject matter is within the
effective range.
The contents of the memory
card cannot be viewed.
You are attempting to view the contents of
a memory card that was not formatted with
this camera.
Insert a memory card formatted by the camera
and on which files were saved by the camera.
File cannot be deleted.
The file is protected.
Remove deletion protection.
The memory card is write protected.
Remove write protection
