Setting the recording mode
Select one of the available photo modes to take a photo with the most suitable settings.
Using the mode wheel select the desired photo mode.
The following settings are available:

Voice recording:
Use this mode for recording voice
messages.

Intelligent scene:
Depending on the ambient conditions
the camera changes automatically to the suitable photo
mode.

Scene mode:
Choose one of the provided scene modes,
allowing you to set up the camera quickly for a certain
situation. The table on the next page contains a description
of all scene modes.

Automatic mode:
In this mode the camera automatically determines most settings.
The mode is consequently ideal for snapshots.

ART mode:
In this setting, various artistic effects are applied to the photos. An over-
view can be found in the table starting on page 24.
Using the scene mode
To select a desired scene mode, proceed as follows:
1. In the Photo mode turn the Mode wheel to Scene mode [
].
2. Press the
SET
button.
3. Using the
/
buttons change to
SCN
at the end of the menu and press
SET
.
4. Use the
/
buttons to select the desired scene mode.
5. Press the
SET
key to select a scene mode.
To cancel the selection, press the [
] key.
Using the zoom keys, a reduced size overview can be selected during the selection of the
scene mode.
