Mini USB interface
The USB interface serves to provide power for the scanner via the supplied
USB power supply or a computer. The interface can also be used for connec-
ting the device to a computer for transferring images.

Battery compartment
Insert four AA batteries or rechargeable batteries with the same specification
in the battery compartment.

ON/OFF button
Switch on device by pressing this button. Press again to switch off device.

Memory card slot
This slot accommodates microSD/SDHC memory cards.

JPG/PDF / UP key
JPG/PDF: In the scan mode the key can be used for selecting the scan format
JPG or PDF. The LCD display then shows the respective setting JPG or PDF.
UP: The key can also be used for setting the time.

COLOR / MONO key
In the scan mode the key can be used for selecting colour or b/w scanning.
The LCD display then shows the respective symbol COLOR or MONO.

ENTER key
Press this key to confirm any changes.

DPI / DOWN key
DPI: In the scan mode the key can be used for selecting high (900 dpi),
medium (600 dpi) or low (300 dpi) solution. The LCD display then shows the
respective resolution symbol (HI, MI or LO).
DOWN: The key can also be used for setting the time.

LCD display
The LCD display indicates the device status.

TIME SET / FORMAT key
TIME SET: Press this key for about 3 seconds to enter the date and time
setting mode.
FORMAT: Press this key once to format the microSD card.

Format setting
The slider is used to set the paper format to be scanned.
