3.7. Ventilation
For this model normal adventitious ventilation is usually sufficient to satisfy the ventilation
requirements. In GB reference should be made to BS 5871 Part 2, and in IE reference should
be made to the current edition of I.S.813 which makes clear the conditions that must be met to
demonstrate that sufficient ventilation is available.
If provided, any purpose provided ventilation must be checked periodically to ensure it is free
from obstructions.
When fitting the fire in Northern Ireland (NI), purpose provided ventilation must be provided in
accordance with the rules in force.
