Adjust to the required distance at the swiveling
guide fence.

Height adjustment of the swiveling guide
fence.

Using the swiveling guide fence, bring it flush
into contact with the workpiece.
5.
At the desired position, move the toothed part of
the swiveling guide fence into the gage as far as
it will go, and drill the holes.

Horizontal drilling with the dowel gage
performed.

Use the following procedure for drilling vertically
with the dowel gage:
1.
Adjust to the required distance at the swiveling
guide fence.
2.
Using the swiveling guide fence, bring the
machine flush into contact with the end face of
the workpiece.
3.
Draw a marking on the left and right of the base
plate teeth.

4.
Position the dowel gage at the markings and
clamp it tight.
5.
Positioning the machine vertically.
6.
At the desired position, move the toothed part of
the base plate into the gage until it hits the stop,
and drill the holes from the top.

Vertical drilling with the dowel gage
performed.
