STARTING AND DRIVING
CRUISE CONTROL
A momentary press of the button (half
second or less) increases the vehicle Set
speed in small increments.
2 Release the button when the desired
speed has been reached.
The new cruise control maximum speed
is set.
Decreasing the Cruise Control
Set Speed
NOTE
The cruise control cannot be engaged at
speeds below approximately 30 Km/h (18
mph).
NOTE
The cruise control Set speed will not
decrease below the minimum
programmed Set speed limit.
1 To decrease the Set speed, press the
Cruise Control Resume/Set button down
(-).
A momentary press of the button (half
second or less) will decrease the vehicle
Set speed in small increments.
2 Release the button when the desired
speed has been reached.
The new cruise control maximum speed
is set.
Disengaging Cruise Control
The cruise control is disengaged if the
brake is depressed, or if the cruise
control button is set to Cancel (OFF).
If configured, the cruise control remains
engaged if the clutch pedal is depressed
for short durations (to allow shifting
while in cruise control). However, if the
clutch pedal is depressed for an
extended period (typically greater than 5
seconds), cruise control is disengaged.
NOTE
For vehicles with a manual transmission,
when the clutch is pressed the cruise
control temporarily disengages. When the
clutch is released and the transmission
reengaged, then the cruise control
reactivates.
Resuming Vehicle Speed
The previously selected cruise speed is
retained in the memory. When the
Resume button is pressed, the vehicle
resumes the previous Set speed. This
occurs provided the vehicle speed
exceeds approximately 15 Km/h [10
mph] and the speed is not above the
maximum programmed speed.
