Lubricating the Windrower

Table 6.2 Recommended Lubricant

Spec.

Description

Use

SAE Multi-Purpose

High temperature, extreme pressure (EP2)
performance with 1% max molybdenum
disulphide (NLGI Grade 2) lithium base

As required unless otherwise
specified.

6.23.1

Lubrication Procedure

DANGER

Stop engine and remove key from ignition before leaving operator's seat for any reason. A child or even a
pet could engage an idling machine.

1.

Wipe grease fitting with a clean cloth before greasing, to avoid injecting dirt and grit.

2.

Inject grease through fitting with grease gun until grease overflows fitting, except where noted.

3.

Leave excess grease on fitting to keep out dirt.

4.

Replace any loose or broken fittings immediately.

5.

If fitting will

NOT

take grease, remove and clean thoroughly. Also clean lubricant passageway. Replace fitting,

if necessary.
