Launch procedures
Winch launch
Winch launching is performed using the CG hook in front of the main
wheel.
With a slow-accelerating winch, good aileron control is achieved using
Flap 3. With a gentle to strong headwind Flap 4 may be used from the
start.
Set the trim slightly forward.
Allow the aircraft to get airborne in the 2-point position (main wheel and
tail wheel just touching). As the speed builds up, gently rotate into the
full climbing attitude. Change to flap setting 4 once the aircraft is
established in the full climbing attitude.
