LDS Plus Reference Guide

Q – Counter Values

Counter values message. When the host computer sends a QR protocol message, a Q protocol
message is returned followed by the values of all the host counters.

The following table describes the host counters that the network device maintains:

Counter Description

LR?

Number of ? type messages received from the host.

LRB

Number of B type messages received from the host.

LRR

Number of R type messages received from the host.

LRS

Number of S type messages received from the host.

LS?

Number of ? type messages sent to the host.

LSA

Number of A type messages sent to the host.

LSB

Number of B type messages sent to the host.

LSC

Number of C type messages sent to the host.

LSM

Number of M type messages sent to the host.

LSN

Number of N type messages sent to the host.

LMR

Number of M type retries sent to the host. (LSM not included.)

UMT

Total time since the counters were reset (in minutes).

The following Q protocol host counters have no function. All counters return zeros.

TSM

Number of messages sent to the DOS terminals. This counter does not include
“Computer Did Not Answer” messages. Currently returned as all zeros.

TMR

Number of message retries sent to the DOS terminals. This counter does not
include “Computer Did Not Answer” messages. Currently returned as all zeros.

TNA

Number of Computer Did Not Answer tokens sent to the DOS terminals.
Currently returned as all zeros.
