K: Download a Form to Stored Form File
Expanded Function K is a message that downloads a form from the host computer and stores it
in the DOS terminal’s stored forms directory.
Note: The maximum form length is 520 characters.
Rule: You must use a character from the ASCII character set 20 through 7E,
excluding 3C (<) for the first character of the form. The first character of
the form identifies the form that you wish to save with the stored form
save operation.
Application
Use Expanded Function K to store a form in the stored forms directory. The operator can then
access the form from the DOS terminal, which relieves the host computer from having to transmit
the entire form to the DOS terminal each time.
Expanded Function K can reduce the traffic on the RF channel.
Attributes

No change in automatic transmit buffer length
