3.2 Configuration
Each Lutz eccentric screw pump of series B70H comprises a 3-phase or a compressed air motor and a
pump tube. The flow rate and delivery head depend on the selected pump size. This means that the most
appropriate pump can be chosen for each individual application.
Drive units for type B70H
Three-phase drives
For series B70H several three-phase motors are available:

Three-phase drives with frequency converter
To optimally adjust the volume flow and desired pumping head of an eccentric screw drum pump, three-
phase motors with attached frequency converter are available.

NOTICE
High leakage current!
A radio interference filter in the frequency converter causes additional leakage current through the earth
conductor.
The earth leakage current can be between 3.5 and 11 mA depending on the clocking frequency.
Compressed air drives
Recommended speed 200-900 1/min.

3.3 Function
An eccentric screw pump is used for fast and safe emptying or transferring all types of liquids from mobile
containers. The pump is connected with the container via the clamp socket with a hose or pipe line.
