Field Name
Field Value
Description
Severely Errored
Framing Seconds
Default:
0000000000
Range: N/A
Format: Numeric
Displays a count of the number of severely
errored framing seconds encountered by the E3
port in one of the previous 96 individual
15-minute intervals. A severely errored framing
second has one or more out-of-frame defects or a
detected AIS defect.
Unavailable Sec-
onds
Default:
0000000000
Range: N/A
Format: Numeric
Displays a count of the number of unavailable
seconds encountered by the E3 port in one of the
previous 96 individual 15-minute intervals.
Unavailable seconds (UAS) are calculated by the
number of seconds that the interface is unavail-
able.
Line Coding Viola-
tions
Default:
0000000000
Range: N/A
Format: Numeric
Displays a count of the number of line coding
violations that have occurred on the E3 port since
the last time statistics were reset. Line coding vio-
lations indicate that a bipolar violation or an
excessive zeros error event has occurred.
Line Errored Sec-
onds
Default:
0000000000
Range: N/A
Format: Numeric
Displays a count of the number of line-errored
seconds encountered by the E3 port in the previ-
ous 24-hour period. A line-errored second is a
second in which one or more line code violation
error events were detected.
P-bit Coding Viola-
tions
Default:
0000000000
Range: N/A
Format: Numeric
Displays a count of the number of P-bit coding
violations that have occurred on the E3 port since
the last time statistics were reset. For all E3 appli-
cations, a coding violation error event is a P-bit
parity error event, which is the occurrence of a
received P-bit code on the E3 M-frame that is not
identical to the corresponding locally calculated
code.
P-bit Errored Sec-
onds
Default:
0000000000
Range: N/A
Format: Numeric
Displays a count of the number of P-bit-errored
seconds encountered by the E3 port in the previ-
ous 24-hour period. A P-bit-errored second has
one of the following characteristics:
•
One or more P-bit coding violations
•
One or more out-of-frame defects
•
A detected incoming alarm indication signal
(AIS)
This counter will not increment when unavail-
able seconds are counted.
