Installing the WavePOINT-II AP - Introduction
■
Place the WavePOINT-II AP as high and as centrally as possible (relative
to the ORiNOCO stations in the vicinity).
■
Do not conceal the antenna.
■
(Optional) Use the PC Card in combination with an external antenna.
NOTE:
If you plan to use your WavePOINT-II AP device in combination with
two ORiNOCO PC Cards, you are advised to connect an external
antenna to at least one of the two PC Cards. This external antenna
should be mounted as far away as possible from the other PC Card
to allow maximum performance (see also “Optionally Available
Products” on page 1-13).
Outdoor Antenna Placement

The ORiNOCO WavePOINT-II AP device has been designed for indoor
placement. Optionally you can connect the device to an outdoor antenna
installation using the Lucent Technologies Outdoor Antenna Kit solution,
according the instructions described in the “ORiNOCO Outdoor Antenna
Installation Guide”. You can download this document from the ORiNOCO
