A performance monitoring parameter.
Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)
Allows connected computer equipment to gracefully shutdown and therefore prevents
damage in the case of a power failure. Also absorbs dips in the power supply.
Universal Co-ordinated Time (UTC)
An indication of the time of an event that is independent of the time-zone in which the
event occurred. The local time can be calculated from the Universal Co-ordinated Time.

An upgrade is the addition of new capabilities (feature). An upgrade requires new
software and may require new hardware.
