Reliability and service availability
Protection mechanisms are supported by the Metropolis

AMU:

•
path protection or SNC/N protection (SubNetwork Connection protection) for
higher and lower order VCs
•
1+1 multiplex section protection (MSP)
Ethernet traffic can be protected by:
•
spanning tree protocol
•
link capacity adjustment scheme (LCAS)
•
link pass through (LPT)

(calculated according to SR-332 RPP with confidence level of 95%. Therefore, it may
