1. Set Key Splits
Set Key Splits
displays default settings for the lower keyboard and pedal split locations and enables you to
change the locations.
•
Press the words
Set Splits
on the screen.
The screen will display an illustration of the lower keyboard and pedals with the split points indicated.
To the right of each illustration is a box with the key and pedal name of the split points.
•
Press a lower keyboard key to relocate the key split.
•
Press a pedal to relocate the split.
The screen will illustrate the selection.
The box to the right will also indicate the change.
Right of the lower keyboard split point can be used as an additional melody keyboard.
Left of the lower keyboard split will function as left hand, lower keyboard.
Right of the pedal split, the natural and black pedals can be used to control functions such as:
Fill,
Glide/Sustain
, and
Sound Effects
.
Left of the pedal split can be used to play bass sounds.
You can also use the
Scroll
buttons to set either split point.
•
Press the box containing the key name of either split point. It will become highlighted.
•
Press either scroll button to move the split point up or down. The illustration and key name displayed on
the screen will change.
The
Lower Split
is activated by any of the following conditions:
•Pressing the
Lower On
button in the solo section.
•Pressing the
Lower Right
button in the orchestral section.
•Activating the
Keyed Drums
feature.
•Pressing the
Bass To Lower
button.
The
Pedal Split
point is activated by using
Feature Page 9 - Pedal Natural/Black
. 20 different functions may
be assigned.
Any changes can be saved into a
Bank Preset
. Pressing the
Reset
button or turning the power off will return
this section to default settings.
Press the lighted
Feature(Clear)
button to return to the
Power-Up
screen.
Controls four feature categories.
1.
Set Splits
- Changes the preset location of the keyboard split point
on the lower keyboard and pedals.
2.
Keyboard Screen
- Displays the notes being played on the
keyboards and pedals.
3.
Keyed Bass
- Play the bass sounds from the lower keyboard.
The
Bass To Lower
button also activates the feature.
4.
Pedal Recognition
- Play MCS chords on the pedals.
