Under the
Control with
header, each device has a drop-down box with two options. Select the
appropriate option for each controlled device in your system. Choose
Harmony 890
(the default
setting) for devices you wish to control by IR from the remote, and
Wireless Extender
for devices
you wish to control by RF using the Extender (with or without the IR emitters).

By default, the Wireless Extender fires all IR commands simultaneously from all four IR emitter
Ports (these are numbered A, B, C and D on the Extender) and from its IR Blaster. In most
cases, this default setting works well. In special cases, you may require the Wireless Extender to
control multiple identical devices. To do this, you will need to assign a specific Port to one or
more devices, as described below. If you are not controlling multiple identical devices, skip to
Step 5.

After selecting the control method for each device in Step 3, check the box
, and click the
button. This screen loads:

Under the Port header, each device has a drop-down box with six options. Select the
appropriate option for each device to be controlled by the Wireless Extender. Choose
All
(default)
for sending IR signals to all ports;
IR Blaster
to only send signals from the Wireless
Extender by line-of-sight; or
A

B
,
C
or
D
to assign a specific port.

When you are finished assigning ports to your devices, clicking the
button will save
your port settings and device associations, and take you back to the Devices screen. Skip to
Step 6.

When finished associating devices, click the
button to save your settings and take you
back to the Devices screen.

Click the
button and follow the instructions to update your Wireless Extender and
Harmony 890 remote.
